The Cyber Defenders Discovery Camp (CDDC) BrainHack CTF, organised by DSTA, has become a yearly fixture for me — my team qualified for the finals three years running, in 2024, 2025 and 2026.

Coming back each year has been a good measure of progress. The challenge categories span web exploitation, forensics, cryptography, reverse engineering and pwn, and competing against the same strong field every year pushes me to keep sharpening the fundamentals between seasons.
